One Sunday morning in the Fall, while making banana pancakes and being lazy- Lucy said to Mike and I, " Y'know, sometimes the whole world is right here in this kitchen". Only a five year old could be so simple and so profound. One day soon, we will have her write that down to frame as a gentle family reminder where our center is. She has been through so many changes in her five short years of life but her silliness and affection and resilience is an inspiration. She is an absolute girly-girl who loves sparkles and bling as much as her hip hop and karate. She has lost all four of her upper teeth and is one big, gummy smile. This quote is for Lucy Rose. She is my source of inspiration today.
