Successfully convinced the hardest working dad in the house {and only} to extend his fathers day celebration + play hookie to join me for a beach day in Narragansett, RI. Six of my favorite girls from our twenty something days working together in Boston have been planning this gathering since our last one in January. Turns out to be the perfect beach day to hang with our families, enjoy the beach house, some drinks, good food {Kathryn has the coolest globe trotting job as a buyer for Trader Joes and always brings the best snacks!} and Rhode Island surf. We have some fantastic film shorts to share on Tuesday! Cheers to the first day of summer...
We have been a bit remiss in sharing the details of our trip to Costa Rica last month. We almost forgot to post this film short! If your computer can handle it, click full screen and turn it up for full effect. There is so much eye candy from our trip and we are still editing the promotional piece and will share the results in June. What a fantastic group of talented vendors! The passion and excitement is palpable in this piece. It was everything- the somewhat impromptu locale and beauty of dusk in this lush setting, our model Michelle who had never done this before {and fresh off a surfboard} but was as stunning and natural as they come, and all of our our good fortune to be there, in that moment. The collaboration with this group was more easy and inspired than we could've ever hoped. We are still so grateful we had the opportunity to be involved in an editorial shoot to promote a wonderful destination wedding locale, Stay in Costa Rica. Our team: Planning + Design: Candice Dowling and her team at Jubilee Events Photography: Carla Ten Eyck and her team (Greg, Eric, Rebecca, Sarah!) Floral: Datura: A Modern Garden Wardrobe + Styling: Beth Chapmen of White Dress by the Shore Hair + Makeup: dd Nickel Film: Buzz Media Company Beautiful Hospitality during shoot: Stay in Costa Rica PR + Marketing: MMH Public Relations
image found here. We apologize for the lack of posts this past week. We just returned from a family vacation starting in South Beach, Miami moving on up the Florida coast. Balmy breezes, cool drinks, roof deck pools + cabanas at our boutique hotel and ceviche spoon bars (love this idea for a restaurant!) have a way of re-inspiring the soul. We are back at it today full tilt in the studio. Great projects to share in the coming weeks!
Happy weekend! We have a big Saturday of work (filming Jonathan Edwards Winery Spring Festival) but Sunday & Monday is all about the road trip and playing hookie from the countless weekend obligations that have a way of taking over. Judging by the forecast, it will be an active, sunny Sunday and a sleep-in day and lazy breakfast on Monday. What are your summer weekend plans? ( If only our getaway caravan & wardrobe looked this elegant!)
