love this.

Engagement shoot with a casual, intimate, sexy, urban vibe. For full photo story, head on over to Snippet and Ink.
Love the morning bed head, intertwined limbs and natural-ness of it all. Those are the moments that are so special to capture.

sweet + nostalgic : Meg and Ty on Super 8

It was back to one of our favorite shoot locations to film the wonderful Meg and Ty on their engagement shoot (Norah too!) with talented friend and photographer- Maggie Conley. Check out her blog for the beautiful still images- Maggie shoots in film (as well as digital) and sets photographs in gorgeous calf skin leather wrap portfolios for elegant, soft bound wedding albums.

This couple is perfect on Super 8. They possess sweet, simple & classic old-school sensibilities. This medium seems to shine such a special light on their love. Congratulations Meg and Ty on your upcoming wedding. We look forward to working with you in the next year!

Vintage Super 8 Films

There is nothing that captures the sentimental simplicity of love like true film, grainy and saturated colors and short clips on a Super 8 camera.

We look forward to sharing more of our Vintage Super 8 Work in the coming months. More of our clients appreciate how the film shorts evoke such sweet playfulness and nostalgia of days gone by. We are getting more requests to add vintage film for bridal preparations and engagement shoots. In todays world, there is the constant quest to move forward, keep up on the latest trends & technology ( twitting, HiDef, FB videos and the list goes on). Shooting in Super 8 is a refreshing chance to go back to the basics.

Plus the cameras (ours circa 1968) are a complete hoot with their two button technology and whirring film sounds.

There is such value in the engagement shoot to get comfortable with your photographer & videographers and visit some of your favorite places as a couple. We love these photographs from our talented friend Josh Behan. His composition, lighting and ability to capture the real and whimsical moments are truly special. Check out his website. The location is pretty special too!

newport shoot: michelle + john

As if on cue, the weather was an absolute delight after a rainy week in Newport. Last Sunday, Buzz Media Company along with Raina Dawn Events and photographers from Snap Weddings came together for Michelle and John's photodate/engagement shoot. This wonderful couple had been staying at the Chanler for the wet and gray days leading up to the shoot. Come Sunday, a sunny and breezy Spring day was the perfect backdrop to capture the love between these two! The talented Raina (based in Manhattan) effortlessly pulled the team together to have some fun- scouting locations from the shops to the quiet beaches and the hidden Newport spots in between. The video short with "our story" interviews and moving images will follow next week! Check out the full photo collection from the blog at Snap Weddings- We are all so excited to come together again in August to capture their big day!
